NorTech, Incorporated was founded by Norman Milner in Lanett, AL as a machinery and electronics manufacturer. Our products are sold to customers through out the US and several other countries. NorTech moved from Lanett, AL (after enjoying 32 years in the same location) in August 2007 to Valley, AL. We now have 5 times the floor space as our previous location.

The design team at NorTech has over 105 years experience in developing solutions for the Packaging and Recycling industry. Our products are built using the latest in world components by craftsmen who excel at their crafts.

We are committed to providing the Packaging and Recycling industry with innovated labor saving automated equipment. Our equipment features welded tubular steel frames and controls for the best in automation.

NorTech's heritage includes manufacturing of Structural Foam Foundries, a plastic molding process developed in the 60's. Our first recycling machines were Densifiers for recycling of polyprolene non-woven and woven fabrics.

NorTech's current product line began in 1975 with the introduction of Tube Strippers for the man made fiber industry. NorTech Tube Strippers are now used to strip yarn and fiber from tubes without damage to the tubes by the fiber and yarn industry. Recyclers that want the fastest method to remove material from tubes also use NorTech Tube Strippers. NorTech Tube Strippers strip fiber and yarn from skinners to full packages at the same speed.

Roll Slabbers that strip plastic film, woven, non-woven and paper began prodouction in 1977. Today NorTech Roll Slabbers are full automated lifting, clamping, stripping and empty core removal systems that need one operator to strip 5,000 lbs. per hour.

Book DeBinders that separate paper from covers and binders began production in 1978. Many innovations in book feeding, paper separation and process automation have been developed since our first binder remover was built. Today NorTech Book DeBinders™ are machines that feed books from a hopper to automated binder removeal, paper separation from covers and output paper to a conveyor.

LoopSeal™ Roll Wrappers have replaced the double bag, vacuum, high labor system that was used in the carpet cushion industry. The major carpet cushion manufacturers use NorTech LoopSeal™ Roll Wrappers. Our Model #LS2472 wraps 240 rolls per hour. This year NorTech started production of Big Roll Wrappers. Our Model #BRW312 wraps rolls up to 36" diameter by 180" wide at a rate of 100 per hour.

NorTech uses proven design and manufacturing experience to focus in areas that require labor savings, safety and ergonomics.
